Privacy Policy

1. Scope

This Privacy Policy applies to the Quick AI Chrome extension and the Quick AI service operated by AppNestDevLabs. Quick AI provides chat, selected-text assistance, webpage summaries and questions, writing assistance, web search, image analysis, and document analysis.

2. Information we process

Depending on the feature you deliberately use, Quick AI may process:

• Prompts and conversations: questions, follow-up questions, writing requests, and recent conversation context needed to answer them.
• Website content: text you select and page content or basic page context that you explicitly ask Quick AI to analyze.
• Files and images: documents or images you choose to upload for analysis.
• Service and security data: limited network information, such as an IP address, may be processed temporarily by our hosting infrastructure and in-memory rate limiting to protect the service from abuse.

Quick AI does not access page content in the background for advertising or profiling. A relevant feature must be initiated by the user.

3. How we use information

We use submitted information only to provide the requested Quick AI feature, maintain service security, prevent abuse, diagnose service failures, and improve reliability. We do not sell, rent, or share user information for advertising, credit, or unrelated profiling.

4. Processing and service providers

User-initiated requests are transmitted over HTTPS to the Quick AI backend and then to Groq, our AI-processing provider, to generate a response. Our hosting provider may process standard request metadata to operate and secure the service. These providers process information under their respective terms and privacy commitments.

5. Storage and retention

The Quick AI backend does not use a database to permanently store prompt content, selected webpage content, uploaded files, images, or AI answers. Data is processed in memory as needed to complete a request. Short-lived rate-limit counters are kept in server memory and reset automatically.

Conversation history and preferences may be stored locally by Chrome on the user's device. Users can remove this local data by clearing the extension's data or uninstalling Quick AI. Hosting and AI service providers may retain limited data as described in their own policies and legal obligations.

6. Chrome permissions

Quick AI uses Chrome permissions only for user-facing features: opening the side panel, responding to the active tab, displaying the selected-text launcher and context-menu command, communicating with the active page when requested, and storing local history or preferences. Permissions are not used for unrelated monitoring.

7. Chrome Web Store Limited Use

Quick AI's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs complies with the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Information is used only to provide or improve the user-facing features described in this policy.

8. Security

We use HTTPS transport, server-side API credentials, restricted request origins, input limits, security headers, and rate limiting. No internet service can guarantee absolute security, but we take reasonable measures appropriate to the service.

9. Your choices

You control whether to submit text, page content, images, or documents. You may stop using the service at any time, clear locally stored extension data, or uninstall the extension. Do not submit confidential or sensitive information unless it is necessary for your request.

10. Children

Quick AI is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

11. Policy updates

We may update this policy when Quick AI's features or legal obligations change. The effective date at the top of this page will identify the latest version.
